June 9-13, 2025

This week, I turned 73, lost my health club membership, received a new Ozark Director's chair, and got suspended from Bluesky.

The Bluesky suspension was a surprise. I do post a lot of anti-authoritarian comments, but I don't promote violence, as I am a non-violent person. I was suspended for "violent or threatening speech".

But, oh well. Years ago, the Krassensteins and I were suspended from Twitter, and I followed them over to Bluesky.

But then I remembered who controls most of the social media content, although I believed Bluesky was a little different. I was gaining a lot of followers.

I've made comments for years now, ever since Trump came onto the national political scene, about the possibility of a rise in fascism and authoritarian forces behind and in front of Trump's political rise.

Just about everything I've warned about has come about.

This week, Trump has deployed both the National Guard and the U.S. Marines in Los Angeles to "protect" federal facilities from the mass of ICE protesters.

Trump bypassed Governor Newsom's authority with the National Guard deployment.

Trump's vitriolic language and presidential actions have been seen as exacerbating a situation that local law enforcement had under control.

Be that as it may, this is also the week when Trump has called for a major military parade in Washington, DC to coincide with his 79th Birthday Party. He has said that any attempt to disrupt his parade or party will be met with force.

The protest organizers, Indivisible.org, plan for a mass rally protesting ICE and other federal agencies' actions this weekend in Washington, DC.

There are posts on Substack and other sites saying that Trump and his Executive Branch cohorts should be tried for crimes against humanity, akin to the Nuremberg Trials that took place after World War Two.

And it's only Thursday.
