Open Letter to the Indigenous People of the Western Hemisphere

We have a dangerous Serpent on our land.

We are at a crucial time in the history of the continent. Only one other time has been so significant in our history. We are being physically, mentally, and spiritually attacked by an American in the White House. The evidence is apparent for all to witness.

There has always been a guiding light and a clear direction for us in our language, spirit, and culture. That light is being diminished hourly. We have had our American Hiroshima, and we have had to endure the results as second-class citizens.

But now we must assert our sovereignty. We are the elders and the pedagogues the world is looking to for answers. This is our time to teach, gather, and claim our natural voice to defend the earth and one another.

Western governance systems are crashing all around us. There is a national void in mental clarity and pure humanity. Those who support life and freedom are being marginalized. We must help them lest they falter and fall.

For these reasons, and more, I am calling all Chiefs, Elders, Grandfathers, and Grandmothers of all Indigenous people of the Western Hemisphere to convene an International Court in Washington, D.C.

As protectors of the Living Earth, Air, and Water, we have an inherent responsibility that does not recognize colonial boundaries to gather and assert our power and rights as this continent's original inhabitants.

This gathering is intended to provide a space for Indigenous testimony from representatives of tribal nations across this land regarding the increasing threat to traditional lifeways.

This must be done in full view of the world.

We shall walk with the Great Mystery in a peaceful and nonviolent manner. Our spirit guides us in our deliberations to save the planet.

In Great Appreciation,
