Our Great Struggle

 We are in a new era in the Western Hemisphere. An era brought on by the culmination of pro-Eurocentric maxims, which have carried generations of believers in a cauldron called Manifest Destiny. This system has been a stanchion of destruction for Indigenous people for over 500 years. The barbaric Eurocentric belief that the North American continent was a "New World" to be subjugated and taken by force in the name of freedom and independence.

The primarily Aryan or European-born race has had the opportunity to explore, claim, and own the North American continent since 1492. For 533 years, the Europeans have gained through genocide, biological warfare, corruption, and governmental malfeasance all of the territory once held by 500 or more Indigenous Nations.

But during this time, the Indigenous spirit has not died. It has survived and is now flourishing in a resurgence of culture, language, and spiritual rebirth.

But the invisible class system perpetuated by a colonialist idealism has not allowed people of color, other than white, to flourish socially, spiritually, politically, or economically. We have lived under the umbrella of white superiority and the misguided domination of white society.

These European-implemented social and political systems have affected generations of Native people from South America to Alaska.

During this period, there have been glimpses of hope that we would be accepted and included in the advancement of the so-called civilized society.

We we even told and promised that if we were to comply with the laws of the greater society, we would benefit and see many generations enjoy the greater good of a multicultural world.

That has not happened.

Many of us are worse off than our forebears. We have been ceilinged by legal, political, social, and religious entities who never had any intention of bequeathing any type of advancement to our communities.

And now, in 2025, here we are having to see a resurgence of hate, prejudice, and bigotry as not seen since the 1950s in its vitriolic heydays.

The 2024 re-election of Donald J. Trump has unleashed a flurry of cultural racism that is destroying any semblance of human decency and social harmony that many have tried to plant and nurture in thousands of social gardens all across the western hemisphere.

Not only in the United States but across the world has the viciousness and cruelty become so dominant that many are living in fear for their very existence.

Men, women, and children are being targeted and displaced as though they are pieces on a global chessboard. This is being done without any type of legal or social defense by the now ruling class of Donald Trump.

Trump and his cohorts have decimated all guardrails to human rights and civil protections. Their mantras of "protection and service" do not match their daily actions. Their disregard for the American Constitution and 500 years of legal history has not stopped their march to total power and control.

They are determined to destroy a great country and a stable world. Their delusion of dominance and power has affected international democratic venues and fledgling democracies.

This is the era of fear and intimidation. And the legislative guardians of American Democracy are in the fight of a lifetime. Both the House and Senate are in Republican hands, and they do Trump's bidding. 

This is the era of Trump.
